"Cruzh continue their emancipation with “The Jungle Revolution”, which takes them away from their original AOR and into the heart of melodic glam/sleaze hard rock."

Three years ago, the second album from Cruzh, a hair metal band made up of short-haired brats, was released. It left a better impression than their 2016 self-titled debut. It has to be said that the measured AOR accompanying these newcomers' debut hardly inclined us to swoon. “Tropical Thunder”, marked by a change of frontman, saw the Swedes beef up their music, while still seeming to oscillate between melodic hard rock and hard rock. Now comes the third opus, “The Jungle Revolution”, marked by the arrival of a second guitarist.
Suffice it to say that the band's desire to move into more muscular territory is unwavering. The course is firmly set here, with the new production clearly leaning towards a peppy hard melody with a glam/sleaze tendency. But Cruzh has retained his ability to compose anthems that could be heard on the radio.
The eleven tracks on “The Jungle Revolution” spread cheer and adrenaline. Listening to them, the listener won't be able to stay still. On this journey through the 80's, followers of Crashdiet, Kissin' Dynamite, Crazy Lixx and Reckless Love will welcome this album with open arms. As the opus also makes eyes at Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, it will also attract a more “classic” audience.
Some of the blistering tracks on this album deserve to be remembered. These include the eponymous Leppard opener, 'FL89' (Feels Like in 1989), which takes us back in time with its feel-good melody, and 'Killing in the Name of Love', haunted by a Bon Jovi in his heyday. Also worthy of mention here is 'From Above', the ballad of the piece which, despite its classic piano/vocals, manages to give goose bumps, as well as the in-your-face 'plit Personality', which conjures up Skid Row and Hardcore Superstar.
Cruzh continues his emancipation with this third opus. And it's quite possible that this release will be seen as a first step into the courtyard of the new masters of the genre. The glam/sleaze version of the melodic Hard Rock scene is beginning to teem with talent, and we'd like to welcome a band we didn't necessarily expect to find here, given their initial musical intentions. - Official website
