"The Warmest Sun In Winter" is Believe's 5th studio album and follows last year's very good DVD. With an unchanged line-up, only small changes were to be expected.

Satomi - the famous violinist - only intervenes this time on two tracks that are the 'The Bright Day' and 'Please Go Home', very close to Collage in its development. It is a pity that his interventions are more dedicated to accompaniment than to solo functions.

Karol has made further progress, giving even more scope to her warm, one-string voice, which now brings her slightly closer to Marc Atkinson (Riversea). This voice harmoniously completes the compositions largely oriented on research of ambiences and melodies carried towards the emotion. On this point, the Poles were able to deliver a disc of a sufficiently short duration (50 minutes) not to tire and intelligently long enough to let the musicians express themselves.

The main asset of the album is surely the lyricism and the sensitivity of Mirek Gil's guitar, always present and inescapable. The record lives by the touch of this man able to draw from his 6-strings tears or tiny chiselled riffs to accompany a mid-tempo (Unborn/Turn Around) with a sensual touch.

No abusive electric discharges in this opus, Believe continues on its way and delivers here a beautiful album where the sensuality of Karol, the mastery of the instrument of Mirek accompanied by musicians precise in their interventions contribute to confirm the rise in power of the Polish band in the atmospheric progressive rock. Recommendable even if some will be able to begin to say that Believe begins to turn in circles...
