"Tooth and Nail", which arrived in 1984, followed "Breaking The Chains" which had been well received. However, just one year after the first opus, nothing could have let believe that Dokken would change dimension in such a short time.
The album starts with a torrid introduction that immediately shows the band's capabilities. This first impression is confirmed by the following tracks. The whole is much better constructed than in their first opus and proposes a more progressive assembly. This opus presents a firm and elaborated whole incorporating in its center several enormous and dazzling soli of Lynch.
The album offers more glam and FM titles and some much more electric. We will quote for example, ' Just Got Lucky' with its well wiggled glam and its heady refrain, 'Heartless Heart' well rhythmed and 'Into Fire', title type with its tempered song. Don't lose sight of the electrifying 'Don't Close Your Eyes' which offers a dynamic heavy rock in which the guitars launch powerful salvos.
The sales figures of the opus having exceeded 3 million records worldwide "Tooth And Nail" was not only a real success for Dokken but also more widely in the Glam Rock & Heavy discography of the 80s. - Official website
