Pathetic! This new album from the man who was considered a musical genius a long time ago, a complete artist, is sad to cry.

This collection of covers performed without passion, without a personal touch, is part of the long list of totally useless records that Michael Schenker has been releasing for almost 20 years. At that time, through the creation of Michael Schenker Record, he was already flooding the market with unequal and often dispensable records, alternating acoustic versions, live versions, with cover albums. 20 years later, after having looked into the matter for a long time, he persists in exposing a total lack of creativity and a rather phenomenal lack of respect.

Indeed, this "By Invitation Only" is nothing more than a re-release of an album already released 3 years ago, "Doctor Doctor, The Kulick Sessions" to which was added a cover of Iron Maiden's "Run To The Hill" that could already be found on the tribute album "Numbers From The Beast".

And even if we could ignore the mawkish aspect of this product, it is still very difficult to find any interest in these dusty and laborious versions. Move along, there's nothing to hear!

OTHER REVIEWS
MR BIG: Lean Into It (1991)
HARD ROCK - "Lean Into It" is the master album of Mr Big. It's one of the references that you absolutely must have listened to once in your life.
ARENA: The Seventh Degree Of Separation (2011)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - This record is catchy, effective, mastered but not complex enough in its compositions to win the support of progressive music fans.
