"Safe" is the last album of the Collage band before the separation of its members. The track number 3, which seems to be self-deprecating, could have foreshadowed a possible weariness of some musicians. Fans can be reassured, from this break will be born the band Satellite which will give us an excellent album a few years later.

The beginning of this "Safe" could make us believe that Collage decided to make a very faithful follow-up to their previous production "Moonshine" which is more or less true. Without moving away from their favorite style which is a very harmonious neo-progressive rock, characterized by layers of keyboards encompassing everything in their path and majestic guitar solos, Collage detaches itself a little from the classics by compositions a little more modern, maybe a little less pompous and some embellishments at the level of the mixing.

Some tracks are therefore typical of what they did before like 'Eight Kisses' and others without being radically different have evolved enough not to give the impression of listening to a clone of 'Moonshine'.

"Safe" is the obvious transition between "Moonshine" and their album "A Street Between Sunrise And Sunset" which they will release on Satellite. If you're looking for a simple, soaring album, with varied atmospheres, "Safe" is undoubtedly a sure value.
