"Positive, sympathetic and full of freshness, these are the adjectives used to describe "Silver Romance", the new opus from Freedom Call, which never deviates from its fraternal path."

Far from the fashions, Freedom Call continues on its merry way. Led by the likeable Chris Bay, the band is back after five years of studio silence with a new album, "Silver Romance". The return of Freedom Call is the assurance of a dose of melodic speed full of positivity, an indispensable ingredient these days. With a cover featuring all the band's fetish elements, including a dragon and a rainbow, the album is designed to light up the listener.
With 'Silver Romance', 'Symphony Of Avalon', 'Distant Horizon', 'Meteorite' and 'New Haven', Freedom Call delivers, as usual, excellent melodic speed anthems. The fast rhythm is perfect for a pleasant melodic tone. The choruses are unifying, with an impeccable straightforwardness carried by Bay's warm tone. And when it comes to solos, Bay and Rettkowitz delight in their virtuosity.
Freedom Call also takes care of its sweet side with 'Supernova', 'Out Of Space', 'In Quest For Love', 'High Above' and 'Metal Generation'. The keyboard takes up a lot of space, with a kitschy edge. The tone is less speedy, very catchy and brings a fraternal side full of good feelings, confirming the Care Bear side of the band. Bay is a charmer, and it's easy to imagine the band in communion with their audience on these tracks.
The gentle side of Freedom Call may seem a little hackneyed, but the freshness and energy exuded by Chris Bay and his bandmates commands respect. The good humor radiated by "Silver Romance" is infectious, and makes for a pleasant hour of simple metal. - Official website
