"Raven doesn't give up, and comes back with a hard-hitting "All Breaking Loose!"

Veteran heavyweights are still going strong, and Raven are in great shape. More than 40 years after their debut, the English band struck hard with "Metal City" in 2020, driven by the seemingly indestructible Gallagher brothers. This little world is back with "All Hell's Breaking Loose", supported by a cover as cartoonish as that of its predecessor.
The result is a short and unadorned album with catchy heavy Thrash tracks. The rhythm is intense, John screaming with a fabulous hoarse tone. The choruses are excellent and made for the stage. His brother Mark shines on every riff and distills fast, melodic soli. On the drums, Mike is a master at bringing out the punchy thrash side.
The heavy speed metal of 'Turn Of The Screw' and 'Invasion' takes us straight back to the 80s, with a pleasant mix of Iron Maiden and Helloween. 'Surf The Tsunami' and 'Desperate Measures' have a Motörhead-style hard rock feel that gets the toes tapping. Short and to the point, the tracks are highly effective, with simple choruses and fast, nervous soli.
"All Hell's Breaking Loose" confirms Raven's radiant health. The band's heavy metal is top-notch and still packs a powerful punch. The old-timers are still terribly relevant, and let's hope it stays that way for a long time to come. - Official website
