If there's one reformation that has won over fans unreservedly, it's Norway's Wig Wam. With "Never Say Die", the Oslo gang regained their throne with the glam FM that made their reputation. In order not to give the competition time to recover from the knockout they had suffered, the quartet set the record straight with "Out Of The Dark". It has to be said that the Scandinavians are also benefiting from the surge of interest triggered by the use of their track 'Do You Wanna Taste It' ("Non Stop Rock And Roll" - 2010) as the theme song for the HBO series "Peacemaker".

And without wasting time, it's not the newcomer that's going to dampen the enthusiasm surrounding the combo. Indeed, this is Wig Wam's very own recipe, combining the power of metallic riffs, the melodic catchiness of unstoppable choruses and the infectious good humor of glam. The elements are skilfully balanced, and their proportions are altered from track to track to ensure a variety that keeps the attention and euphoria on constant alert. By regularly adding federative backing vocals to this skilful mix ('Forevermore', 'Ghosting You'), the Glam and teeny band gain even more intensity.

It's hard to resist the black madness of the eponymous track, the groove of 'High n' Dry' or 'Forevermore', made for live performance. Without listing all the highlights of this opus, lets talk about the bluesy power of 'Bad Luck Chuck', with its delicate hints of Kiss' 'Domino', the aptly named 'Uppercut Shazam', the unstoppable ballad 'The Purpose', or finally, the instrumental '79', which summons the ghost of Gary Moore.

In three-quarters of an hour and eleven tracks, Wig Wam reminds us that he is the boss of hard rock that is as muscular as it is catchy. Less saucy than the Americans of Steel Panther, the Norwegians nonetheless exude a furious desire to party and not take themselves too seriously.

BABYMETAL: The Other One (2023)
HEAVY METAL - Baby Metal's "kawaii-metal" made in Japan is back. "The Other One" will delight fans of animated manga and J-pop, but it will confuse those not accustomed to Japanese culture.
