"Rise Of The Northstar signs an abrasive, intense and burning hardcore "Showdown"."

Since its beginnings, Rise Of The Northstar does not leave indifferent. The French band has shaken up the codes so much that it has as many fans as detractors, the latter reproaching the band for being too arrogant. The others appreciated an abrasive hardcore with a charm maintained by a mystery around the identity of the musicians.
"Showndown" keeps the Asian mark that made the band famous with a cover referring to mangas and animes with a certain authenticity. What strikes you as soon as 'The Anthem' is the rage and the energy deployed, like a primitive war cry. 'Showdown', 'Crank It Up' and 'One Love' see the band throwing good hardcore tracks cut to set fire to live. The hip-hop side that comes out is very effective, Vithia confirming that he is a remarkable screamer. The refrains are simple and we appreciate the snarling French passages.
'Third Strike', 'Shogun No Shi' and 'Golden Arrow' are close to a nu metal sound with a touch of thrash on the last one. 'Clan', which also mixes hardcore and metal, stands out from the rest by a darker side and a calm and airy instrumental finale that allows the guitarists to stand out. The heady chorus and the melody of 'Rise' make it sound like a hit.
Direct and immediate, "Showndown" is a good hardcore surprise. Rise Of The Northstar shows a real know-how and remains faithful to its roadmap without asking existential questions. We don't ask them for more... - Official website
