""Mythos" is the logical continuation of "Resurgence" and offers 4 tracks of simple, efficient and unpretentious Death Metal."

"Mythos" is a double confirmation. On the one hand, it attests that Massacre's return to business after several years of wandering is not a flash in the pan. On the other hand, by succeeding the vigorous "Resurgence", it shows that the veterans have still solid and lasting inspiration. It must be said that these guys know their old school Death Metal on the tips of their fingers. The three guitarists Scott Fairfax (Memoriam), Jonny Pettersson (Wombbabth) and especially Rogga Johansson (Paganizer) don't have to make much effort to offer simple, efficient and without pretension tracks.

Small EP of hardly a quarter of an hour, "Mythos" seems to be issued from the recording sessions of its predecessor. That is to say its quality and its content, sinister and pestilential. Fast but perforated by heavy crevasses at the bottom of which are lurking frightful creatures, 'The Dunwich Horror' or 'The Mythos That Lovecraft Built' plunge with a subterranean energy into the unspeakable universe of the master of Providence of which they stir up the most suffocating horror.

At the speed of a galloping horse but fond of these heavy creepings which fracture their lumpy compositions ('The Thing On The Doorstep'), Kam Lee and his companions do what they know how to do best and what we expect from them, lords of a retrograde Death metal whose stirring brutality is combined with sepulchral atmospheres.

Four tracks EP, "Mythos" is to be taken for what it is, a morbid complement to the resurrectional "Resurgence" and a new sign of death of a legendary band that continues to ruminate without trying to revolutionize the death metal of the Great Ancients.
