"As successful as "Words Apart" its big brother, this "Army Of Dreamers" is a nice success of Magnus Karlsson who offers to the Allen/Olson duo great songs to perform."

After the Allen/Lande duo, here is the Allen/Olzon pairing. The singer of Symphony X and the ex-frontwoman of Nightwish had regaled us with a "Worlds Apart" that let us augur the arrival of a little brother. The newborn comes today and its baptismal name is "Army Of Dreamers".
To support the two friends, the Italian label Frontiers has once again trusted Magnus Karlsson, the prolific Swedish guitarist. In charge of the composition of the work, strings and synths, he is the third pillar of the temple. Those who know the artist's musical world are aware that wherever he sets down his suitcases, they deeply mark the ground on which they rest. Thus, this new project of which he is in charge is greatly impregnated with his musical concepts.
"Army Of Dreamers" is thus a powerful album, played with a gripping emphasis and developing a sustained grandiloquence. The riffs are real walls of sound which shelter moments of bewitching harmonies. The three protagonists unleash here a real storm of melodies, fractured by the thunderous assaults of Anders Köllerfors' drums, Karlsson's frequent partner, and illuminated by the lightning emanating from the six-string genius.
Playing malignantly on the diversity of the emotions, the opus proposes us a journey on a road where succeed one another, sinuous bends along which the tempo knows how to settle dow, and straight lines which see the rhythm accelerating. Even if the object is particularly linear in its quality, some nuggets emerge in the heart of this melodic maelstrom. Let's mention 'A Million Skies', its lead riffs, its rhythmic breaks and its chorus that gives you goose bumps, and 'Carved In Stone' that announces from its beginning the theme taken up by the huge melody that awaits us further. For those who appreciate the genre, this is probably the song of the year. Let's also mention the belligerent eponymous track which during its gothic beginning refers to Game Of Thrones.
"Army Of Dreamers" is not only reserved for Karlsson's fans, this work will conquer without difficulty the followers of Delain and Within Temptation. It can also satisfy all the metalheads who appreciate the female voices. Because, despite the fact that those who applauded her departure from Nightwish did not like it, Anette has a great voice. - Official website
