"With its traditional hard rock with heavy tendency, Spirit War delivers with "Soundhouse Tracks Vol.2" three tracks of a beautiful efficiency."

French Hard rock is far from being dead and sleeping. On the contrary, it seems to be booming with bands such as Antéchaos, Malemort... and Spirit War who has the genre in its blood. The band is above all a story of encounters, between Markus Fortunato (bass and vocals) and André "Deiz" Kergonna (guitar), and of generations, with Nicolas Lebrat (guitar and backing vocals) and Valentin Leroy (drums and backing vocals) who complete the quartet gathered for the love of the historical Hard Rock.
Because what strikes in this "Soundhouse Tracks Vol.2", it's three ultra melodic titles which do not need many listenings to be printed in the memories. Here all the markers of good songs are present: a rhythm section of a formidable efficiency (the lead of the drums in 'Upcrawling' is well brought), diabolical guitar riffs and a well dosed aggressiveness (the iron Maidenian 'Child Of Music Hall') and above all well found choruses carried by the voice of Markus which does not lack of power.
You have to pinch yourself to believe that the band is not British but French. Each track is a stadium anthem. There is no doubt that these pieces will take a very nice scale on stage, they have the potential. If we can regret a lack of risk-taking and inventiveness, what is delivered here is well done and that's the main thing. An energetic music which asks to live. - Official website
