After his vocal adventures within Betraying The Martyrs, which had become too heavy according to him, Aaron Matts wished to devote himself to his new project Ten56... Freed from the pressure of his frontman position, supported by Quentin Godet on guitar (Kadinja), Nicolas Delestrade on bass (Novelists) and Arnaud Verrier on drums (Uneven Structure), he publishes a dark and violent first album. A kind of catharsis on LP, perhaps intended to digest his adventure in Betraying The Martyrs...

The EP is harsher and more experimental, almost more violent or more powerful than what Betraying The Martyrs proposed, while its packaging is almost avant-garde. The modernity is a constitutive element of the record, born from the multiple effects on the voice ('Kimo'), from the electronic artifices, from the very present synthesizers ('Boy') or from the artificial rhythms and production effects ('Sick Dog').

A surprising power emanates from the EP, from the first notes of 'Exit Bag' to the last ones of 'Kimo'. The heaviness is brought by the guitars of Quentin and Luka from the first seconds. This painful intensity nails the listener to the ground as the style requires. But this last one is transcended, because even if the breakdowns are present ('Kimo') the compositions are dressed with refined electro notes. Finally, the variety is set, the song oscillating between almost rap passages ('Sick Dog') and grunts of beyond the grave.

"Downert Part. 1" is dark, experimental and chaotic at times. The melodies and the moments of breathing are rare and this music, far from we are accustomed to hear in this style, is trying, violent, dark and modern. Ten56 expresses his vital impulse and his musical vision where beauty is to be sought in the depths of despair.

GHOST: Impera (2022)
HEAVY METAL - "Impera" is undoubtedly the heaviest album that Ghost has produced until now, leaving the pop metal universe to lean toward a modern melodic hard rock.
FRED CHAPELLIER: Straight To The Point (2022)
BLUES - With "Straight To The Point", Fred Chapellier delivers one of his best albums. An album that combines artistic demands, humility, sincerity and fervor.
