It's not only Mike Patton, Dave Grohl or Damon Albarn who are doing projects that are totally different from each other. The Polish Adam Darski, is mainly known for being the frontman of the black metal Behemoth under the name of Nergal for several decades. But what does he do when he hangs up his boots, takes off his makeup and turns off the amp? After all, what business could someone whose alias means "Lord of the Underworld" in Sumerian possibly be in? Answer: the blues, of course!

The atmosphere remains black but the leather and the nails leave the place to the wood and to the velvet, in a mixture of americana and folk, of course raised of electric instrumental flights. The particularity of this side-project is the high number of guests, allowing however the repertory to find a real unity in the integration of this worldly directory where we find the blues roots of some as much as we discover them. Who would have thought that members of Slayer, Lamb Of God, Morbid Angel, W.A.S.P, Venom or Arch Enemy would have made so many sparks within songs so far from their favorite styles? Let's not forget Blaze Bayley, Devin Townsend and Mary Goore, Tobias Forge's stage name before he became Papa Emeritus in Ghost.

From the sepulchral atmosphere of 'Black Hearse Cadillac' to the hammering in rule of 'Got Your Tongue' passing by the sticky blues of 'Coldest Day In Hell' or the lightness of 'Silver Halide Echoes', all this little world gives it a lot of pleasure and the pieces follow one another without dead time and without pitfalls, notable fact for such a maelstrom of different guests.

After all, the blues is the devil's music, it is well known...
