Alirio Netto is a well-known singer in Brazil. Coming from the progressive metal band Khallice ("The Journey" in 2003) and ex-frontman of the power metal combo Age Of Artemis, he joined the ranks of Shaman in 2019 after the death of Andre Matos. A great Queen fan, he participated in the musical "We Will Rock You" and held the microphone in Queen Extravaganza, tribute band of Freddie Mercury's band. With his powerful voice and showman's skills, Frontiers has asked the Brazilian to launch a solo venture. It is done with this "All Things Must Pass".

Accompanied by Felipe Andreoli, Angra's bass player, and Adriano Daga, a drummer who won a Grammy Award in Brazil for his work as a producer, Alirio Netto offers here an opus where melodic and alternative hard rock, AOR and pop rock go together. As far as the frontman's talents are concerned, Brazil has not been mistaken. Power, expressive intonation and vocal range, his interpretation marks the spirits. As we can see by meeting the band on the web, we are dealing here with a real showman, who leads the audience in the story he tells with great demonstrative gestures and postures.

This album of ten titles is a pleasure of melodiousness. The artist knows without a doubt what is a track that holds the attention. Whether it's angry ('Your Hate'), emphatic (the eponymous track), radio friendly like a Vega song ('Let It All Burn'), folklore tinged like a U2 ('Edinburg') or playful like a Journey (the ballad 'Grey'), each piece is attractive and demands a new listen. Perfectly suited for all (hard) rockers, this first attempt by Alirio Netto demonstrates that mixing genres can result in a coherent object.

"All Things Must Pass" is therefore the good surprise of the summer in the melodic hard rock world. Let's bet that Alirio Netto won't stay for a long time in the only Brazilian light.

CALIGONAUT: Magnified As Giants (2021)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - Delicate and melancholic, "Magnified As Giants" of Caligonaut plunges us in the best of a seventies progressive rock.
DAVID ZMYSLOWSKI: Ocean Station - Turning The Page Chapter Ii (2021)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - David Zmyslowski has a certain taste for melodies coming out of his 6 strings, and "Ocean Station", second part of the "Turning the Page" project, is an excellent reflection of this quality.
