Formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2016, Enforced already has an album and several singles under their belt. Even though they are from the East Coast of the United States, the band evolves in a thrash tinged with crossover in the line of the West Coast Bay Area scene, between Suicidal Tendencies and Testament and close to Municipal Waste - also from Richmond.
Enforced offers with "Kill Grid" a successor to "At The Walls" which had marked the spirits, so much so that we now find it in Century Media label. Composed of eight tracks, "Kill Grid" is a steamroller and the record goes by at lightning speed. The mix of Knox Colby's furious hardcore vocals and a thrashy rhythmic pattern wreaks havoc time and time again.
The rhythm is intense with ultra speed riffs and a furious side which sticks a slap: The accelerations of a rare intensity ('The Doctrine', 'UXO', 'Blood Ribbon') are legion. The very short 'Beneath Me', ultra fast, is enjoyable, totally in the spirit of the Slayer of the beginning. Finally 'Kill Grid' offers a beautiful richness, switching between dark and haunting side and intense acceleration. Carried by Knox's vocals, the track is a superb thrash crossover moment with furious solos and a calm and anguishing finale.
With "Kill Grid", Enforced confirms the qualities they have already mentioned. The band perfectly masters the codes of the genre and has all the weapons to become one of the bands that counts alongside the big names of the crossover thrash scene.
