The "Infinite Entanglement" period has been rich for Blaze Bayley. The three albums released allowed the British singer to regain a certain popularity, which was verified through numerous concerts with the gift of two live albums, one of which was recorded in France. The continuation of Blaze's adventures arrives with "War Within Me", financed by the fans and still with the musicians of Absolva at his side.

Less conceptual than the previous trio, "War Within Me" presents various themes. It evokes famous personalities, recent events and life, as Blaze Bayley likes to do since his solo debut. In 10 tracks we find a classic heavy melodic music, both powerful and epic, with a direct side put forward and giving off as always a certain melancholy.

'War Within Me', '303' or '18 Flights' give the tone of a simple and effective heavy carried by fast riffs. On the vocals, Blaze shows himself in good shape, both powerful and raging. The choruses are neat and the soli are of high quality, not far from Iron Maiden. With 'Warrior', 'Pull Yourself Up' and 'Every Storms End', Blaze offers beautiful slices of life, balancing between emotional strength, with a storyteller side in catchy songs full of conviction, and heavy power loaded with a certain epic force.

At the heart of the album, a trilogy puts forward scientists to deliver a strong message to humanity. The Dream Of Alan Turing', 'The Power Of Nikola Tesla' and 'The Unstoppable Stephen Hawking' form a beautiful tribute, the first two simple, direct and catchy, the last one all in nuances with an epic side in the riffs and soli.

With "War Within Me", Blaze Bayley confirms his good artistic form, finding a good cruising speed with his mates. By throwing a first class melodic heavy metal, he shows that he remains a name to count with in the genre.
