Black Paisley is a Swedish melodic hard rock band born five years ago. Author of two albums in 2017 ("Late Bloomer") and 2018 ("Perennials"), he comes back in this year 2020 with "Rambler". Since its beginnings, the combo has always been a quintet, today the Swedes are only four. Once again, the formation has evolved. Stefan Blomqvist, the original singer-guitarist, is still there, as is Jan Emanuelsson the bass player. But Robert Karaszi, the original drummer, has quit and Franco Santunione (Electric Boys), a new guitarist, is making an appearance.

Black Paisley offers a melodic hard rock, elegant and racy. With its classic rock, bluesy and even southern rock tendencies, it stands out from the usual productions of the genre. Dominated by a refined vocals and a dynamic guitar, the compositions of the Nordiques are an real enchantment.

The references are numerous and varied within this "Rambler", which, however, does not make this work incoherent. Throughout his listening, we can come across some old acquaintances who have left us beautiful memories. Thus, the southern rock that smells like the whiskey of 'Damned' brings us back to ZZ Top, Molly Hatchet and Robert Palmer, and the huge hit 'Without Us' evokes on its attack chords the 'Hold On Loosely' of 38 Special. The addictive 70's boogie 'Higher Love' is close to Whitesnake on its verses, and 'No One Like You' (Scorpions) on its chorus. 'Save The Best' is not far from to 'Dancing In The Dark' (Springsteen) in a revised version by Cheap Trick, and the seductive ballad 'Falling' allows us to find the touch of Gary Moore.

Black Paisley offers us here a beautiful melodic object with a breathtakingly clear sound. Off the beaten track of melodic hard rock, while letting its influences filter through, "Rambler" is a varied album that will stay a long time in your favorite playlist.

POP - Pop rock from Greece with this first album by Marios Politis. Despite some youthful flaws, "This Is My Story" is pleasant and enjoyable to listen to.
BULLRUN: Wilderness (2020)
HEAVY METAL - A mix of rock, heavy and thrash metal totally assumed, "Wilderness" once again demonstrates Bullrun's talent for offering an addictive record with tracks tailored for live performance.
