""Others" is an efficient EP made of tracks that have not been kept in "Falling Satellites"."

When Frost* was working on his album "Falling Satellites", some songs had not been selected. As the English are about to release a fourth album, they offer us in this EP some of these compositions rejected at the time.
Too modern and soulless sounds for some, avant-garde and brilliant experimenters for others, Frost*'s productions have always split progressive rock fans. This EP won't fail to consolidate a little more the positions of each one because this music is pure Frost*, always as innovative in the sound effects and virtuoso than in the arrangements of often complex parts. We find the usual densities of synthetic textures so much appreciated by Jem Godfrey with dynamics that can sometimes be explosive as in 'Clouda', 'Fathers' and 'Exhibit A' whose fiery beginning reminds us of Prodigy.
On the other hand, Frost* shows that his melodic charms are solid and nourished by the sap of pop ('Fathers' and 'Clouda') and that the British know how to find intervals of finesse (the string arrangements of the Morsian 'Fathom', the chimerical atmospheres of 'Drown' and 'Clouda'). What makes Frost* a unique band in the modern progressive landscape is the ease with which they mix all their character traits. It's in the most experimental tracks that this originality is revealed with the most acuity, as shown by the daring mixes of 'Exhibit A' or 'Eat' and its prodigious vocal constructions.
If all is not of equal quality in this EP, with three tracks superior to the others ('Fathom', 'Drown' and 'Clouda'), it's a work always as well done that will allow the fans to wait for the next record to come out. - Official website
