"First live for Tiger Moth Tales at the top of his art. An intense concert where the beauty of the tracks competes with the richness of the melodies."

Pete Jones is a man out of the ordinary. At just 15 months of age, little Pete lost his eyesight due to a retinal tumor. Despite his disability, he will develop piano skills by his fourth birthday, before perfecting his mastery of the instrument and learning more. He created the pseudonym Tiger Moth Tales to launch his solo career, and thanks to his artistic qualities, he was spotted by Camel, with whom he will be performing on stage at the keyboards from 2016.
After four studio albums released over the last few years, Tiger Moth Tales releases his first live CD/DVD, called "A Visit To Zoetermeer" and filmed in De Boerderij, the Netherlands, in 2019. The ideal opportunity for the musician to retrace his discography with Tiger Moth Tales, with the exception of "Story Tellers Part One", the only album not represented in the final set-list.
This will not prevent our English friend from sweeping a wide musical spectrum during the nine tracks covered throughout the concert. Of course, what makes the particularity of Tiger Moth Tales is the very melodic, even sometimes romantic character of the songs. The emotion is at its peak on the magnificent 'Match Girl' whose approach is not without resembling a title of Elton John, or the superb 'Hygge' whose finale is next to the sublime. It is also highly recommended to watch the concert, where Pete Jones, sitting behind his keyboard, plays the electric guitar, lying horizontally on the keyboard. A position which is not the most comfortable but which does not seem to pose the slightest problem to the strong man of the band!
If the band is often classified in the "progressive rock" category, 'A Visit To Chigwick' is surely the cause ! With almost ten minutes on the clock, the relationship with the first Genesis era is striking. The long track 'Tigers In The Butter' is also in a progressive vein, with its 14 minutes. With its energetic beginning, the second part of the track offers some very interesting developments, more pop, but just as colorful. We will not forget 'The Ballad Of Longshanks John' and its Celtic touch in an almost jumping register, which adds to the musical palette of the evening.
The eccentric personality and theatrical interpretation of Pete Jones is at its peak on 'Toad Of Toad Hall', a childish and playful song, or 'The Merry Vicar', the two flagship tracks, where the musician's madness is reminiscent of a certain Peter Gabriel or sometimes of Ian Anderson!
In conclusion, a very beautiful concert that we will enjoy listening to many times, where the beauty of the titles competes with the richness of the melodies. We are therefore looking forward to the next studio production of Tiger Moth Tales. - Official website
