"Agnostic Front does not reinvent itself, and that is not what we are asking of it. "Get Loud!" is a pretty hardcore blast that just goes straight to the point with rage and energy."

Agnostic Front is the live band par excellence, the one that has been kicking ass for almost 40 years with an incisive hardcore punk and a committed side. The studio productions of this New York figure are not necessarily eagerly awaited - the content seems to be known in advance. "Get Loud!" took 4 years to be released - as usual - and barely exceeds half an hour in length.

And - as usual - there is no deception on the merchandise. With the exception of two tracks, we find the classical formula with Roger Miret's lively flayed vocals, simple and effective riffs, backing vocals on the choruses and a raw energy that sticks to the wall. Nothing very new in these deliveries but one feels such a will and such a rage that one can only adhere to it and move with ardour. In fact, in just over two minutes 'Anti Social', 'Urban Decay', 'Conquer And Divide' as well as 'In My Blood', 'Isolate' and 'Attention' are punches in the face and should be hits live.

Fortunately, A few variations avoid repetition. There are thrash influences here and there. 'Dead Silence' has a big effect with a huge opening riff and a dry and nervous tone. 'AF Stromp' is a very effective short instrumental with another big riff that stains. There's also 'Devastated', heavier and heavier, which mixes thrash effectively with incisive hardcore. Finally, 'Get Loud' is a darker and more uptight riff, which is very effective. Carried by the bass and a strong riff, the vocals bring out even more strongly a certain aggressiveness.

"Get Loud" doesn't add anything to Agnostic Front's work. But it is in the upper middle of his discography and contains its share of missiles. Seeing the band in such good shape after an already long career forces respect.
