Had the Hardcore Superstar Swedes finally let themselves be corrupted by the system? The question arose after a "HCSS" with energy at half mast and limited effectiveness by what seemed like a foot-dragging attempt to appeal to the apostles of commercially profitable and politically correct. Three years later, the quartet is back and it clearly shows that it is taking its destiny in hand by producing its new opus itself.

With "You Can't Kill My Rock'n'Roll", Hardcore Superstar marks his territory and reminds us that after 21 years of career, he is indeed an essential leader of Scandinavian and even worldwide sleaze-glam. Scheduled for September 21, the release of this new album was preceded by 4 singles whose success on the Scandinavian airwaves augurs well for this collection of potential hits. Indeed, one of the strong points of "You Can't Kill My Rock'n'Roll" is the number of unstoppable choruses made for the stage. In this field, and even if almost all of this album is concerned, we will quote 'Electric Rider', 'Hit Me Where It Hurts', 'Never Care From Snobbery', 'Baboon' or 'Bring The House Down'. At the same time clear and massive, the production highlights riffs that are both powerful and efficient.

Led by the very special voice of Jocke Berg and the always well felt solos of Vic Zino, the Gothenburg band offers a melodic and festive tornado that will be hard to resist. 'ADHD' opens the album and it will probably launch the next concerts of the band with its frantic and punkising rhythm and its rebellious spirit. This spirit is also found in the lyrics and attitude of the anthem 'YCKMRNR', which is a wink to the riff of ZZ Top's 'Legs', the festive atmosphere of 'Never Care From Snobbery' or the martial and dynamic 'Bring The House Down'. The groove of 'Hit Me Where It Hurts' or 'Baboon' or the party-rock of 'ADHD' and 'Have Mercy On Me' reinforce the irresistible momentum of the whole. As for 'Goodbye', obviously designed to close the next live shows, it does the same with this opus which finally looks like a rehearsal to prepare the next meeting of the band with its public.

With "You Can't Kill My Rock'n'Roll", Hardcore Superstar is back in the spotlight with a collection of anthems made for the stage and with refrains of formidable efficiency. After the fear caused by the previous opus, here is a beautiful opus that will delight all fans.
