"A classic AOR 80's album very close to Toto without an ounce of imagination."

After two albums released one after the other in 2011 and 2012, the Italians of Lionville waited five years before offering their third opus. "World Of Fools" was therefore eagerly awaited by the fans of this combo who plays melodic AOR/hard rock, a genre dear to the transalpine music lovers. Since his last effort, Lionville has welcomed Lars Safsund, the frontman of Work Of Art, a recent Swedish AOR band. As Work Of Art sounds like the Toto of the 80's, it is logical that Lionville exhales similar scents.
Obviously, what is offered here to our ears will not appear in the great book of musical originality. This Lionville album is similar to what we could listen to three decades ago. The tracks string together one after the other without arousing attention. So certainly, the production is excellent, the whole is squarred and the listening will be enjoyable but only an evening with friends where no one will pay attention to the sound atmosphere.
Here is an album to be reserved for the style's ultras, those who collect all the releases of the genre, but who are tired of copy/paste without an ounce of imagination will be content to let in the music through one of their ears and immediately expel through the other. - Official website
