In 2009, Music Waves discovered with great pleasure "Departure", IT's fourth album which, for the occasion, offered us a nervous rock album, slightly tinged with progressive. Eight years have elapsed and the band - at least what's left of it since the duo Nick Jackson (vocals) / Andy Rowberry (guitars) is the only one left from the previous opus - comes back with an ambitious "We're All in This Together", published on the Progressive Gears label, marked by a message full of darkness, evoking the current state of society and all the evils that plague it, with a revolution as the (only ?) future.

And to fully assume its purpose, the quintet starts this new album with the well-named 'Power', a kind of blaze with electro-hard sounds, and followed in the same style and in conclusion of the album by the magnificent and worrying 'Revolution', whose repetitive and haunting bass supports guitar outbursts reminding Porcupine Tree. This last band is indeed a reference in IT's music, the combination of tense guitar parts with softer passages being one of the characteristics of the music present on "W.A.T.T.".

But where "Departure" contented itself with unrolling its nervous rock burns, this new album proves to be much more progressive, going in particular to gather copiously on the side of David Gilmour's Pink Floyd, as well in the composition as in the output (vocals and guitar) with notably 'Born into Debt' and 'Working Man'. And progressive rock, it is of course a question of it in the splendid epic title of almost 12 minutes which comes to definitively set this album at the top of the pyramid of the current productions ('The Path of Least Resistance'): varied themes, changes of atmosphere, of rhythmic, enthusiastic choruses, perfect production, subtle marriage of electric and electro sounds, this main course is tasted from beginning to end with delightment. And to perfect the whole, IT also takes us to the neo-progressive side, with a perfect link to a 'House' which sends us back to the sparkling attires of Millenium, bouncing guitar and intonations of the singer included.

In a more varied style than its predecessor, this new IT album will take the listener to a musical whirlwind from which he will have some difficulty to break away, propelling the band in the high spheres of modern progressive rock. A must have under no circumstances.
