We learned yesterday of the passing of former WHITESNAKE guitarist Bernie Marsden at the age of 72. He joined the group WHITESNAKE in 1978. After the album "Saints & Sinners", he left the group in 1982 to form ALASKA then other groups, including BERNIE MARSDEN'S SOS and MOODY MARSDEN BAND, before embarking on a solo career.
Family statement :
"On behalf of his family, it is with deep sadness we announce the death of Bernie Marsden. Bernie died peacefully on Thursday evening with his wife, Fran, and daughters, Charlotte and Olivia, by his side.
Bernie never lost his passion for music, writing and recording new songs until the end."
