Comprising Chris Robertson (vocals/guitar), Ben Wells (guitar), Jon Lawhon (bass) and John Fred Young (drums), Black Stone Cherry formed in 2001, while its members were still in high school. They honed their skills performing at various local venues and building a devoted fan base in their home state of Kentucky. During this time, they also caught the attention of rock music icon Chris Daughtry, who helped them sign a recording contract with Roadrunner Records.

In 2006, Black Stone Cherry released their self-titled debut album. The album showcases their raw talent and distinctive sound, blending gritty guitars, powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The album was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, with singles such as 'Lonely Train' and 'Hell and High Water' receiving extensive radio play.

The band's second album, "Folklore and Superstition", was released in 2008. It consolidated their reputation as a band to watch, with a mix of hard-hitting rock anthems and introspective ballads. The album spawned hits such as 'Blind Man' and 'Please Come In' and cemented Black Stone Cherry's place on the mainstream rock scene. It was followed in 2011 by 'Between the Devil & The Deep Blue Sea', which was more polished and accessible, incorporating pop elements. The album's singles, including 'White Trash Millionaire' and 'In My Blood', propelled the band's popularity to new heights.

Black Stone Cherry returned to their roots with their fourth studio album, 'Magic Mountain' (2014). The album embraces their Southern rock influences, offering a collection of high-energy tracks and heartfelt ballads. 'Kentucky' followed in 2016, paying homage to their home state and presenting a return to their punchy, bluesy sound.

Black Stone Cherry's discography continued to expand in subsequent years with two EPs of covers, "Back To Blues", paying tribute to blues classics followed by a new album in 2020, "The Human Condition" in which Black Stone Cherry took a decidedly Heavy Metal turn.

2023's "Screamin' At The Sky" saw Black Stone Cherry continue on the path set out on their previous album with a modern, powerful and direct monolithic Heavy-Hard Rock.
