Formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California, In This Moment was founded by singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth. Maria Brink is the heart and soul of the band. Her powerful yet versatile voice is capable of shifting from melodic, sensitive vocals to aggressive roars. She brings an undeniable passion and intensity to every performance, captivating audiences with her charismatic stage presence and personal lyrics. Chris Howorth, meanwhile, is responsible for the catchy riffs and melodies that have become a band trademark.
In 2007, In This Moment released their debut album, "Beautiful Tragedy". The album quickly caught the attention of fans and critics alike, thanks to hard-hitting songs like 'Prayers' and 'Daddy's Falling Angel'. They followed this up with a string of successful albums, including 2008's "The Dream", 2012's "Blood" and 2014's "Black Widow".
"Mother", released in 2020, was critically acclaimed and demonstrated In This Moment's ability to move beyond metalcore into more nuanced alternative metal. Their latest album, "Godmode", confirms this evolution, offering more martial and electronic content than ever, while retaining the trademark that makes In This Moment so unique.
