TORPEDO - 14.11.2023
Testament was founded by guitarist Eric Peterson and drummer Louie Clemente. They soon recruited guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian and vocalist Steve Souza to complete the line-up. Together, they recorded their first album, "The Legacy", released in 1987. The album received rave reviews and established Testament as one of the thrash metal scene's bands to watch.

Over the years, Testament has released numerous critically acclaimed albums and developed a distinctive sound characterized by incisive guitar riffs, technical solos and lyrics. The band's most iconic albums include "The New Order" (1988), "Practice What You Preach" (1989) and "The Ritual" (1992).

However, in the early 1990s, Testament experienced internal problems and line-up changes. Steve Souza left the band and was replaced by Chuck Billy as lead singer. Greg Christian also left the band on several occasions.

Throughout the 2000s, Testament continued to release successful albums, including "The Formation of Damnation" (2008) and "Dark Roots of Earth" (2012).

With a career spanning more than three decades, Testament has left an indelible mark on the thrash metal scene. The band is still active and continues to release new albums and perform live, demonstrating its longevity and passion for thrash metal music.
