Born on June 12, 1977 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Kenny Wayne Shepherd developed a passion for music at an early age. Inspired by his parents, who were both music lovers, he began playing guitar at the age of seven.

From an early age, Shepherd showed exceptional talent for the guitar. He quickly mastered playing techniques and began performing live in local clubs. His virtuosity and energetic style soon attracted attention and earned him early recognition.

In 1995, aged just eighteen, Kenny Wayne Shepherd released his first album, entitled "Ledbetter Heights". The album was a great success and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The singles 'Deja Voodoo' and 'Blue on Black' dominated the rock charts, propelling Shepherd onto the international music scene.

Over the years, Kenny Wayne Shepherd has released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Trouble Is..." (1997), "The Place You're In" (2004) and "Lay It On Down" (2017). His musical style, which skilfully blends traditional blues with elements of modern rock, has made him an iconic figure on the blues-rock scene. Shepherd is also known for his collaboration with other music legends. He has shared the stage with artists such as B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

In addition to his talent as a guitarist, Kenny Wayne Shepherd is also an accomplished singer and songwriter. His lyrics often reflect deep, emotional themes, while his powerful, expressive voice brings his songs to life.
