The story began in 2012 when singer Madeleine "Eleine" Liljestam and guitarist Rikard Ekberg joined forces, driven by a shared passion for symphonic metal. Inspired by Nightwish, Dimmu Borgir and Kamelot, Eleine embarked on a quest to create their identity, blending heavy riffs, symphonic elements and a touch of the gothic.
In 2014, Eleine released their self-titled debut EP, introducing the world to their musical vision. Songs like 'Gathering Storm' and 'Land Beyond Sanity' demonstrate Eleine's ability to harmoniously blend heavy guitars and haunting symphonies.
Building on their initial success, Eleine released their first full-length album, 'Eleine', in 2015. The album expanded their soundscape, with tracks like 'Whisper My Child' and 'Till Death Do Us Part'. With Madeleine's powerful vocals and Rikard's intricate guitar work, Eleine's music became more mature.
In 2018, their second album, "Until the End", was released, exploring more complex musical territories. The band then takes part in major European festivals such as Sweden Rock Festival and Wave Gotik Treffen.
In 2020, Eleine released their third studio album, "Dancing in Hell", followed by "We Shall Remain" in 2023 in a Heavy/Gothic register, combining fat guitar riffs, symphonic orchestrations and emotionally-charged lyrics.
