How time flies! The days are getting shorter, we have switched to winter time, the leaves are falling and we are already at the tenth TOP WAVES 2022 !

A month of October marked by the release of the latest albums from Slipknot, Stratovarius, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queensrÿche, Machine Head completed by the french releases of Born Again, Bukowski, Dusk of Delusion, Heart Attack and Novelists.


But before discovering this TOP WAVES, let's have a look at the official ranking in France:

You have to go to the 15th place to see "Return of the Dream Canteen" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Will of the People" by Muse is 17th
"The End, So Far" by Slipknot -1st last month- is ranked 61st
Darkthrone's "Astral Fortress" lands directly at #68
"Levianthan II" by Therion also enters at number 70
  "Unlimited Love" by Red Hot is 78th
"Doggerel" by Pixies is 80th
Ozzy Osbourne's "Patient Number 9" is at No. 88
"Zeit" by Rammstein is 90th just ahead of Avantasia's "A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society" which enters at 91st



TOP WAVES - GENERAL

The winner of this TOP WAVES is Queensrÿche, who have been going on without their original frontman Geoff Tate for nearly a decade.

In second place, we find a newcomer A-Z who "arrives on the melodic hard rock planet for his first eponymous album".

TOP WAVES - METAL

The TOP WAVES METAL goes without surprise to "Digital Noise Alliance" of Queensrÿche but the second place doesn't go to Dusk of Delusion who is in the third place. But who then?

It's Stratovarius who makes his big comeback knowing that the previous studio album "Eternal" dates back to 2015.
