Without surprise, the selection of this TOP WAVES of April 2022 includes the comebacks of Placebo (eight years after its predecessor) and Red Hot Chili Peppers (six years after "The Getaway") which face the releases of the last albums of Archive, Joe Satriani, Kaipa, Papa Roach, Skip the Use or Thunder

But before presenting this TOP WAVES of the second quarter of 2022, let's have a look at the official French ranking (source Snep).

"Impera" by Ghost is 110th.
And finally, we find the Scorpions and "Rock Believer" in 167th position.

TOP WAVES GENERAL

The winner of this ranking goes to two albums : "Never Let Me Go" by Placebo and ... "The Elephants of Mars" by Joe Satriani.

"In 30 years, Joe Satriani has never stopped simplifying his playing to reach an expressiveness that he is the only one to master at this point, as much in his melodic approach as in his mastery of the sound and the refinement of his phrasing [...] "The Elephants Of Mars" is one more step in the career of this unique artist who has definitely not finished surprising us" (Newf)

JOE SATRIANI The Elephants Of Mars

"A winning comeback for Placebo with a more experimental and darker "Never Let Me Go." (Eastwood)

The podium of this general classification of the month of April is completed by "Call to Arms & Angels" of Archive.

"Call To Arms & Angels" is there to affirm that Archive remains a band capable of offering unstoppable, beautiful, dynamic and organic tracks while keeping this avant-garde spirit "(Calgepo)
